We're Back!

We've made it back safe and sound!
We got in late Friday night, and as I spent Saturday cleaning, washing and stumbling around the house in a tired and jet-lagged state, Kristopher hopped in the van with LB and drove to Reedsport, OR to play a 2 1/2 hour  show for Dune Fest.
I have no idea how he did it, but he's a trouper!

It's SO nice to be home.
We gardened this morning (which has exploded since we left), went to the market and we're getting ready to have a Greek dinner this evening while watching the National Geographic Greek Mythology episode.
We obviously didn't get enough mythology while we were there.  :)

This is a pic of K & I on the plane heading to Turkey - I convinced him we wouldn't be able to sleep without neck pillows...AND, I'm pretty sure they saved our lives.

Honeymoon Goodness

And...we're off!
Well...almost.
We have T-13 hours, and then we'll REALLY be off.
K has big intentions of posting every day to let everyone know how it's going.
I think that may be a bit enthusiastic, since the majority of the time we'll be at sea, but I won't say it's not possible!
Can't wait to share all the memories and amazing sights!

Love is Good

K and I were married last weekend, and I feel pretty darn lucky about how everything went.
Not only was it a beautiful day, but our friends and family we're all such a big part of it.
From the music to the food, to the flowers and even my dress!
It was completely perfect.
And even though I thought I would be strong, I was full of tears (and also champagne)
I'm not going to lie though, I'm so glad it's over.
I wouldn't change anything about it, but it was a lot of work and stress.
Getting married is a defining moment in your life, and a good friend of mine summed it up perfectly by saying, "you don't know what it means to a person, or how important of a day it is until you've been married yourself."
I couldn't agree more

We leave in the morning for a jaunt through Turkey & Greece!
I'm excited to spend some quality time with K while trekking through places neither of us have seen.
We'll try to post as much as possible, so feel free to check back for updates!

Magical

I'm sure many of you have heard of Sigur Ros, and if you haven't - you really need to.  NOW.
They're a post-rock back from Iceland with some classical elements that are just beautiful.

The lead singer of Sigur Ros has come out with a solo album, GO.
And it's been playing non-stop in my house/car/computer ever since I picked it up last week.

The only way to describe it is...it's like flying through bursts of color.
Sounds cheesy, but the album isn't.  It's amazing.

Enjoy.

Pretty Things

I am in love with Anthropologie, and I'm also in love with my fiancĂ©e.
So much so that we're getting married in July of this year.
So, when I read this post and this post today, I couldn't be more excited!

Anthropologie is coming out with a wedding line, and it will be live on February 14th!  Which is perfect since we're going bridesmaid dress shopping in 2 weeks and we may just find something perfect!

The line is called BHLDN, which is pronounced "Beholden".

I simply cannot wait.

Dreaming of Sunshine

I'm heading to Costa Rica in less than a week, and it couldn't come at a better time.  The Pacific Northwest is killing me right now, and I need a break from the never-ending rain.

The only thing that would make it better is if Kristopher was coming with me but I can't complain too much, because we have an amazing honeymoon coming up in July, but I will miss him none-the-less.

And even though the trip is for work, my wonderful friend Mikaela is coming with me - she'll be my moral support during the first trip in my new position...and I'm sure we'll find a little time to sit back, relax and have a nice cocktail.
